Difference Between Individual Assistance VS. Public Assistance Grant Programs:
☑️ IA: Funds for survivors who have expenses & damages not covered by insurance.
☑️ PA: Funds for local, state, & tribal governments to help communities recover.
Difference PvsI 7.11.24

LOCAL BUSINESSES:
--Ruidoso Chamber of Commerce & the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico aid to local businesses: The chamber is working with the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico who is providing funds for businesses that have been affected by the fires and flooding.  A business doesn't have to have physical damage to receive funds.  If you have experienced economic injury, I would encourage you to apply for the funds as well.
The Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico (https://www.communityfoundationofsouthernnewmexico.org/) is similar to the Community Foundation of Lincoln County in their endeavors.  They cover 12 counties in southern New Mexico and their Greatest Need Impact Fund is currently directing efforts to Lincoln and Otero Counties.  If you have losses from the recent South Fork and Salt Fires and flooding, please reach out to the Foundation.  There is a short Google document to fill out to get the process started.   The link to the Google doc is:

*If you know of any affected businesses that are not chamber members, please forward this link on to them.*
