The City of Ruidoso Downs Human Resources department is responsible for processing personnel and payroll transactions for all City employees. The department processes new hires, promotions, and employee-level changes.

Administrative Assistant/GIS Technician

The City of Ruidoso Downs is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant/GIS Technician in the Planning and Zoning Services Department. Starting pay is $31,200.00-$33,529.60 annually, with a full benefit package. Performs a wide variety of duties including the issuance of paperwork for building permits, animal licenses, and Planning and Zoning requests. Knowledge of GIS databases preferred. Proficient computer skills required. Valid New Mexico Driver’s License required. Community Service Officer
This position is a combination of Animal Control and Code Enforcement. While patrolling the City, the Community Service Officer observes for unlicensed animals and apprehends the same; and conducts field investigations and property inspections regarding alleged violations of City ordinances. Explains municipal codes, policies, and procedures to the public. Performs other related duties for Animal Control and Code Enforcement. Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver’s License. Assistant Fire Chief
The City of Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico is seeking an Assistant Fire Chief. Starting pay is $15.86/hr. with a complete benefit package. Performs a variety of fire suppression and fire prevention functions. Administers first aid and assists in rescue; general maintenance of fire station and grounds; performs annual fire inspections on businesses. Open until filled.
